Benefits
Many employers may say that they value their employees and that they provide a ‘friendly’ place to work. We don’t just say it, we live it! In return for your commitment, hard work and exceptional conduct we offer all employees a friendly, supportive and inclusive place to work.
We want you to enjoy your work. Not only because we understand that a happy, enthusiastic employee provides better value to the business; but also because we genuinely believe that this is the way things should be.
All of our colleagues are friendly and approachable, including our senior management team and directors. Every employee is valued as a person, and for their contribution, which helps make our company successful. We are committed to treating all employees with respect and dignity.
Pension
Alliance Homes offers a Group Personal Pension Plan through Scottish Life where you can choose the amount of contribution you make and Alliance Homes will double the contribution up to a maximum amount.
Hours of work
Normal office opening hours are 8.45 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday, and until 4.30 pm on Friday.
Annual Leave
The annual leave entitlement is 25 days per annum for a full time, permanent role plus bank/public holidays and an extra day at Christmas. For part time and fixed term contracts this entitlement will be pro-rated.
Flexitime
Alliance Homes understands the value of flexible working arrangements. A flexitime scheme is in place for all roles where it is practical.
Work Life Balance
We firmly believe in life outside of work! We therefore offer family-friendly working arrangements where possible and try to support our employees whether their life outside work is about children, further study, or just enjoying life to the full.
Professional Subscriptions
Alliance Homes will pay for one relevant professional subscription per year.
Childcare Vouchers
All employees are eligible to sacrifice some of their salary in return for Childcare Vouchers to help them with childcare costs. A salary sacrifice happens when part of your cash pay due under your contract of employment is given up in exchange for childcare vouchers to the same value as the cash sacrifice. A financial saving is made because the amount of salary exchanged for vouchers is exempt from tax and NI contribution.
Coping with problems
We understand that at times everyone has difficulties in their personal life to deal with, which is why we offer an Employee Assistance Programme which can be used by all employees and their family and friends. The EAP provides free, confidential assistance with any work, personal or family issue. Any time, any day you can access support and resources via a website, telephone information or face to face counselling.
Induction and Training
We recognise the value of being supportive of learning and development to both our organisation and our employees. We make sure that we provide all employees with the skills and support to undertake their jobs to the best of their ability. Click on the link on the left hand side of the page for more information on learning and development.
Eye Care Scheme
We want to safeguard the health and safety of employees who use Display Screen Equipment and give an Eye Care voucher to those employees who use a computer or laptop as part of their job to enable them to have an annual eye test. If your optician indicates that you need glasses solely for use with a VDU then you will also receive a voucher that can be used towards the cost of purchasing the necessary glasses.
Sick Pay
We offer a generous sick pay entitlement linked to length of service.
